Why Paycilo exists

The Infrastructure for Direct Commerce.

Direct payments should feel as simple and professional as paying by card.

Paycilo is building one trusted payment identity that gives businesses control over how they get paid directly. From bank payments and digital wallets to stablecoins, mobile money and other supported payment methods.

One business. One link. More ways to get paid.

Card processors transformed the way businesses collect money.

They made payment simple for the customer. Click a button, enter a few details and the transaction is complete.

But that convenience comes at a cost.

Businesses can lose part of every transaction to processing fees, wait for settlement and depend on intermediaries before their money reaches them.

Direct payment offers another route. Money can move through bank accounts, digital wallets and other payment networks without following the traditional card processing model.

The problem is that the experience often feels less professional.

Businesses end up sharing account numbers, wallet addresses and payment instructions through messages, invoices and emails.

We believe businesses should not have to choose between control and convenience.

That is the idea behind Paycilo.

The Problem Is Not Moving Money

The infrastructure for moving money has evolved rapidly.

Banking apps can process account to account payments. Digital wallets can transfer value in seconds. Stablecoins and mobile money have created entirely new payment networks.

Yet the final step between a business asking to be paid and a customer making that payment remains fragmented.

  • A customer might receive bank details through WhatsApp.
  • Another might need a wallet address.
  • Someone else might be sent to a separate checkout page.

The payment method changes and the entire experience changes with it.

Paycilo started with a simple observation.

The problem is not always how money moves.

The problem is how businesses communicate all the different ways they can be paid.

One Identity for How Your Business Gets Paid

Paycilo is being built to bring those payment routes together behind one trusted business identity.

  • A business will be able to connect the payment methods it chooses to accept and present them through one consistent payment experience.
  • A customer opens the business Paycilo link or scans its QR code.
  • They see the payment methods the business has made available.
  • They choose how they want to pay.
  • Paycilo then directs them through the appropriate bank, wallet or payment provider to complete the transaction.

Where the payment method supports direct settlement, the money can move directly to the business through the relevant payment network rather than being held by Paycilo.

The business controls how it gets paid.

The customer gets more ways to pay.

The experience remains clear and professional.

Built for Wherever Business Happens

Commerce no longer happens in one place.

A customer might be standing at a counter, shopping on a website, reading an invoice or speaking with a business through Instagram or WhatsApp.

Paycilo is being designed so that the same payment identity can follow the business across each of those moments.

Use a QR code in person.

Add a payment option to a website.

Share a Paycilo link through social media.

Include it with an invoice.

The payment method can change without forcing the business to rebuild the payment experience every time.

One identity stays at the centre of it all.

Giving Direct Payments a Better Front Door

Our ambition is straightforward.

We want direct payment to have the ease and professionalism that businesses and customers already associate with modern card checkout.

  • That means removing the awkward handover of raw payment details.
  • It means giving customers a clear choice of payment methods.
  • It means allowing businesses to decide which payment routes make sense for them.
  • And where direct settlement is available, it means reducing unnecessary layers between the customer making a payment and the business receiving it.

Paycilo is not being built as another payment method.

It is being built as the interface that brings different direct payment methods into one consistent experience.

What We Are Building First

Our first stage is focused on proving the core payment journey.

We are exploring how businesses can securely connect their preferred payment methods, how customers understand and trust the experience and how Paycilo can operate within the appropriate technical, data protection and regulatory boundaries.

This work will shape the first working version of the platform before wider development.

We are also speaking directly with independent businesses to understand how they collect payments today.

From shops and online businesses to freelancers and service companies, these conversations help us identify where payment friction actually happens and which problems are worth solving first.

Built With The Businesses Who Will Use It

The strongest direct payment infrastructure will not be designed in isolation.

We are inviting businesses to take part in the early development of Paycilo.

Through our discovery conversations, we are learning how different businesses accept payments, where they lose time or money and what customers expect when it is time to pay.

These insights will help us shape the payment journey, integrations and first product features.

Businesses that want to follow the product can also register for early access and be among the first to hear when Paycilo is ready to test.
